JORDAN SWEKE

I am a young professional fine-art photographer from Cape Town, South Africa. “Frozen Photons” is dedicated to my current progress towards a body of work for a solo exhibition here in Cape Town. I only shoot on film because I love the aesthetic of film grain as well as the optimal resolution.

The concept of my current photographic endeavours centers around the notion of naturism within a contemporary urban realm. I take photos to promote a naturist lifestyle as well as to celebrate the human form in what I believe to be its most suited context- nature. The city of Cape Town is an urban metropolis which is surrounded by extremely diverse natural wonders such as lakes, caves, mountains, forests, oceans, islands and deserts. I am extremely interested in the realationship between humans and nature as well as the quantam entaglement/interconnectedness which exists between all living things. I have tried to place emphasis on freedom and expression within my content. The natural beauty in these photographs is intended to compliment the human forms and vice versa.
